What this website collects
The only place this site asks you for anything is the insurance verification form. Apart from the visit records described under How we count visits, nothing else on the site records information about you.
When you complete that form, we receive:
- Your name and phone number, which are required so we can call you back
- Your insurance provider and member ID, which are required to check your benefits
- Your date of birth, which is required because insurers match records on it
- Your email address, the best time to reach you, and anything you write in the message box, all optional
What we do with it
We use it to check what your insurance may cover and to call you back about it. That is the whole purpose.
We do not sell it, rent it, or share it with anyone for advertising, and we do not use it to market to you beyond responding to your enquiry.
Who else handles it
Two companies process your submission on the way to us, and you should know that before you decide to use the form.
Our website host receives the form, stores a copy, and emails it to our admissions staff. A spam filtering service screens submissions to keep automated junk out of that inbox.
If you would rather your details did not pass through either, call us on (800) 750-2613 and we can take everything by phone instead.
What this site does not do
This site sets no cookies. It uses no advertising pixels, and it loads no scripts from other companies, so nothing on this site follows you to other websites.
That is unusual and it is deliberate. Somebody researching mental health treatment should be able to read about it without being followed around the internet afterwards.
Links to our listings on other sites, such as Psychology Today or Google, are ordinary links. We do not control what those companies collect once you are on their pages.
How we count visits
Our website host records each page request in its server logs, as every web host does. Those records include the technical details any web request carries: your IP address, the page you asked for, the page that linked you here, and your browser type. We use the host's built-in visit counts, drawn from those logs, to see which pages people read and how they find us. The counting happens on the host's servers. Nothing is stored on your device, and no script runs in your browser.
How long we keep it
Benefit check submissions are kept while we are in contact with you and for as long as we are required to retain enquiry records. If you would like yours deleted, call us and ask, and we will delete it.
Your choices
You can ask us what we hold about you, ask us to correct it, or ask us to delete it. Call (800) 750-2613 and say that is why you are calling, and a person will handle it.
California residents have these rights under state law, and we extend the same to everyone who contacts us.
Children
Mental Health Residential serves adults aged 18 and over. This site is not directed at children and we do not knowingly collect information from anyone under 18.
Treatment records are covered separately
Once you become a client, your treatment records are governed by our Notice of Privacy Practices under HIPAA, which is a different and more detailed document. You receive it at admission, and you can ask for a copy before then by calling (800) 750-2613.
That notice, not this page, is what describes how your clinical information is used, when it can be disclosed, and what rights you have over it.
Changes to this policy
If what we collect or who handles it changes, this page changes with it. It is the current version whenever you are reading it.
Questions
