Residential mental health treatment for women in Riverside County

Getting here from around the county
Every route below ends the same way: up into the mountains to Mountain Center, then north on Highway 243 into Idyllwild. Times are estimates, and run longer in traffic or winter weather.

- About 56 miles, roughly an hour, east on Highway 74 through Hemet.
- From Temecula and Murrieta
- About 50 to 55 miles, roughly an hour. North on I-15 and I-215 to pick up Highway 74, then the same climb through Hemet.
- From Hemet
- About 23 miles, roughly 35 minutes, straight up Highway 74.
- From Perris and Moreno Valley
- Head for Hemet and take Highway 74 up the mountain, the same climb as from Riverside.
Close to home, and a long way from it
For women who live in the county, Idyllwild is an unusual kind of distance. Family is about an hour away. But the house sits at around 5,400 feet, among pines, above the valley floor where the traffic, the heat and the daily routine carry on without you.
